Autumn Term 2017

Carney Cheshire Autumn Term 2017 Information

Carney Academy Cheshire is located in Sandbach at the Town Hall. We run Saturday classes in acting, singing and dance for ages 4 through to 21 years. Each class is overseen by our Director Ruth Carney. Ruth is a professional theatre and television director who has worked in the West End and on Broadway and is currently working for the BBC. All classes will be taught by professionals. Each student will learn the basics of theatre through to the more advanced techniques. Leading to performances throughout the year. This is an exciting academy to be part of.
We do advocate that performers need to have all three disciplines and a knowledge of them but we also understand that people want to do different things.  So you can do one, two or three subjects at Carney depending on what you want to achieve.
Our students have had a lot of success getting into the major drama schools and working in the professional theatre, television and film world. Current alumni are studying at Guildhall, Bristol Old Vic, LAMDA and East 15. into the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.
Below you will see the information for each group we will be hosting at Carney Academy.

Please note that the ages attached to the groups are only a guide, students will be placed in the right stage for their learning.
